Nurse Practitioner (Nelson St, Vancouver), TELUS Health Care Centre

The TELUS Health Care Centre clinic, located on Nelson St. in Vancouver, is looking for Nurse Practitioners to practice to their full scope using a holistic family centered approach while caring for patients of all ages.

Locations: TELUS Health Care Centre, 300-808 Nelson St, Vancouver BC

    Schedule: Flexible, Day shifts only, no evenings or weekends (Opportunity to work 3+ days per week or 20+ weekly hours if desired)

    Remuneration: $105-120/hr based on experience

    As a TELUS Health Care Centre Nurse Practitioner you will:

    • Deliver evidence based primary care through assessment, ordering diagnostic tests, performing procedures, prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and initiating specialist referrals
    • Deliver episodic and longitudinal care
    • Provide regular patient follow up to promote health and educate on disease prevention and management
    • Collaborate with other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physicians and the allied health team members to foster a team-based, interdisciplinary approach
    • Make internal and external referrals as appropriate
    • Opportunities to deliver complex and specialized care, including but not limited to; prenatal care, pediatric health & wellness, chronic disease prevention and management

    What do you need to apply?

    • Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent, with a post-Master’s diploma (PMD)
    • Current registration as a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
    • Nurse practitioner category: Family OR Pediatric
    • Successful completion of the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination)
    • Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with prescribing and/or lab numbers
    • Active CPR AED Level C certification

    Preferred

    • 2+ years of primary care experience preferred
    • Exceptional organizational skills, with a positive and results-focused attitude
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and patients
    • Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs
    • Commitment to delivering comprehensive patient-centered care with a focus on an exceptional customer experience and achieving the best possible outcomes.
