TELUS Health - Care Centres is looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to support our Centre. We also are open to working with individuals that are interested in any of our sites, including Edmonton, Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Here's how

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Performing clinical assessments, setting goals and providing treatment plans for clients
  • Initiating appropriate treatment intervention based on clinical assessment
  • Providing ongoing evaluation of client progress
  • Administering and collecting outcome measurement information
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with our interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Communicating to appropriate referral sources and stakeholders

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

Experience / Knowledge:

  • 2200 hours of training or equivalent
  • Three to five years’ experience in healthcare setting utilizing health charting
  • Proficient in assessment and treatment planning
  • Knowledge and proficiency in various massage therapy techniques (therapeutic, relaxation and pregnancy are assets)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding customer and massage services
  • Punctual, and strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Computer competency and familiarity with an EMR - MedAccess

Professional / Designation Certification:

  • Registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Alberta RMT association and in good standing
  • Graduate from an accredited school of massage

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • You will be working in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting. Typical office hours throughout weekdays only, however, some flexibility may be required to accommodate service requirements for the operation to extend outside of standard business hours during these days.
  • Physical strength, endurance and overall health is of utmost importance to perform the job consistently and effectively throughout the week as most of the day will require multiple hours of standing, pressing, lunging or bending as well as stretching or assisting clients;
  • You will be working in an office environment, which may require extended periods of time completing computer related work in between treatments. You will work an eight hour day with an additional minimum of half hour for lunch as well as a scheduled 15 minute break between clients to allow for timely changeover and sanitization of room and equipment.
